Picault becomes first signing for Mascherano at Miami
Inter Miami have bolstered their forward line with the signing of free agent Fafa Picault after his departure from the Vancouver Whitecaps.
Inter Miami announced the signing of Fafa Picault on a free transfer, the first in Javier Mascherano's tenure.
He has signed a one-year contract with Miami, and the club has the option to extend his stay to the 2026 season.
This will be Picault's sixth club in MLS, having made 224 appearances in the competition over eight years with Philadelphia Union, FC Dallas, Houston Dynamo, Nashville SC and Vancouver Whitecaps.
The forward spent the 2024 season at the Whitecaps, making 40 appearances in all competitions, scoring 10 goals and laying on eight assists.
Picault helped the Whitecaps to the MLS playoffs and also helped them clinch a third consecutive Canadian Championship title.
"I'm deeply honored to join an ambitious club like Inter Miami CF," he said.
"Representing this badge and playing for the incredible fan base this organization has built locally, nationally, and internationally is a dream come true. I'm eager to meet my teammates and work together toward a historic 2025 campaign.
"This opportunity is truly special, and I'm eager to make history with this team."
